Shaunna Jennings McNatt went to heaven on July 5, 2014 after a six year courageous battle with cancer.
Shaunna was born on December 26, 1975 in Dallas, TX. She was raised in Lewisville and graduated from Lewisville High School in 1994. She graduated from the University of North Texas in 1998 and taught school in Lewisville. She met the love of her life and best friend James McNatt who she married on June 6, 1998. Her next loves came with daughter Caitlyn Marie in 2002 and Kasey Elizabeth in 2006. Shaunna was a wonderful loving wife and devoted Mom to her beautiful daughters. She loved all her family with all her heart with a special love for her younger sister Shelli.
Shaunna was an active volunteer at school serving as President, Treasurer and other positions on the Prairie Trail PTA. She was involved on the Council level of PTA as well as an active role volunteering for the Lewisville Education Foundation. This last May she was a third generation recipient of the Texas State Life Membership in PTA. She was also recently honored by her parents with a Rotary Paul Harris Fellowship for her bravery in fighting the horrible cancer in her body. Shaunna was always the captain of the McGee Family Relay for Life team for twelve years.
Shaunna is survived by her husband James McNatt of Flower Mound, her two daughters Caitlyn and Kasey of Flower Mound, her loving parents John and Mary Jennings of Lewisville, beloved sister Shelli Jennings Zarsuela and her brother-in-law Charlie of Lewisville, her grandfather John W. Jennings of Mt. Pleasant and her loved mother-in-law Pat McNatt of Longview. She is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts and lots of cousins. She was also a friend to all and loved by many.
She was an active member of the Garden Ridge Church of Christ and at one time was actively involved in the Lewisville Christian School.
A funeral service will be held 10AM, Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Garden Ridge Church of Christ. The family will receive friends 7-9PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home.
