Rosalie Elkins-Adcock was born July 10, 1903, in Lillie, Union Parish, Louisiana, the daughter of Charles Londulius Elkins (1856-1942) and Eliza Catherine Murry-Elkins (1863-1932).
Her Father Charles Elkins was the son of Harmon Kinsley Elkins, Sr. (1821-1886) and Nancy Caroline Campbell (1827-1869).
Her mother Eliza Catherine Murry-Elkins was the daughter of Solomon Murry (1818-1880) and Isabel Catherine Berry-Elkins (1819-1892).
Rosalie was one of at least 8 children in the family and the last born and with only one sister.

Rosalie was 77 years of age when she passed away on August 17, 1980 in the Tri-Ward Hospital after a short illness. She was a member of the Mount Union Baptist Church. She had 3 grand-children and 3 great-grandchildren. She was buried in the Mount Union Cemetery.
