Mrs. Betty Lee Brown (colored), 50, of Roanoke, a former Galax resident and widow of the late James Manuel Brown, died in a Roanoke hospital Sunday. February 3.
Surviving are four sons, Manuel Brown. Jr., St. Louis, Mo., and Henry L. Brown, Nathaniel
Brown and Waddell Brown, all of Roanoke one, daughter Miss Mattie Rogers Brown. Roanoke, her mother, Mrs. Anna Terry, Roanoke, and two sisters, Mrs. Matilda H. Dillard. Martinsville,
and Mrs. Rosa Anna Johnson, Philadelphia, Pa.
Funeral services were held at Vaughan-Guynn Chapel Wednesday at 2:00 p. m.. with interment in the Oldtown Cemetery.
