Captain Roger M. Boh Jr., 88, passed away Dec. 2, 2014.

He was born on Sept. 4, 1926 in Bay St. Louis, MS, where he attended St. Stanislaus School, graduating in 1943. He entered the U.S. Naval Academy in 1945, graduating cum laude with the Class of 1949.

Capt. Boh earned his wings as a fighter pilot in 1951, completing two combat tours in the Korean conflict and later three tours in the Viet Nam war.

His interests outside of the Navy included stints as president of his local Rotarian and Kiwanis Clubs. He was an avid sailor and raquetball player. Monthly gatherings at his house included his three sons, Roger, Charles, Rob and daughter Alison, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. His steady hand and generous heart will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 38 years Marcia (Mickey); and his second wife of 15 years, Gaynel. Capt. Boh will be interred at Arlington National Cemetary.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at the family residence in Hunters Green, Tampa, on Sunday, Dec. 28, from 3-8 pm.
