Ellen Burns passed away June 30,1916 in Rimersburg,Clarion County. Born June 15 1836. She was the daughter of Robert and Katy Snow Burns. She was married first to the Late John B Lowers who never made it home from the civil war. He was one of the men taken captive April 20 1864 in Plymouth NC and held in a confederate prison. Of this union were three children, George W Lowers, Daniel Colmer Lowers and Samuel J Lowers. Her 2nd husband also proceeded her in death. James Franklin Of this union one daughter was born, Adaline Franklin. She is buried at Rimersburg Cemetery in Clarion county.
