Rosalie is survived by her daughter, L. Leann Bush and her children, Rickey D. Rinker and Samantha (Jeremy) Powell; along with her son Douglas A. Hawley and his children, Asia M. Gunter, Casey K. Knapp and Tyler D. Hawley. Debbie (Mel) Kerns, Tim (Kathy) Porter and Charles (Joyce) Porter were her children at heart, after the disappearance of their mother Mary Alice the in 1980's.
On December 18, 2014 at 5:30 am, Rosalie went home to rejoice with friends and family and most importantly, our LORD, The Christ Jesus. Her arduous struggle with cancer has ended. Though she battled with the disease, we cannot help but be reminded of her wonderful life.
As a young girl she learned about life from being raised on the family farm. She excelled at everything from raising animals, learning to be a home maker, making her own clothes, to being a self- taught artist.
After graduating High School in Salmon, she started a family and made her living as a waitress. Later she became a medical receptionist for different doctors at different times, for a number of years until she retired. As well as being a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend to so many, she was an EMT, a Square Dancer, Sketch Artist, Painter and a musician with The Old Time Fiddlers of Idaho. Playing music was a passion that she said "you can take it with you anywhere you go".
She loved life, traveling, camping, nature and all that came with her experiences.
Her sense of humor rings through the valley and many parts of the U.S. including a favorite winter retreat, in Quartzite, Arizona. She was always laughing, finding humor in almost any situation including the times she was sick. She would want it said; if there was ever a time that you and her didn't get along, that forgiveness and putting the past behind you is the way to heal and grow. Letting the past remain in the past is a compassionate observance of what is most important, love.
Just as our mother would have in store, we thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, visits and salutations. May God The Father bless you all with a delightful day and peace in your hearts, minds and spirits.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband Denny Hawley, brothers: Bill Crawshaw and Harley Crawshaw and sister Mary Alice Porter. Arrangements by Jones and Casey Funeral Home of Salmon.
