CLAYTON, N.M. — Adelia M. Herrera, 91, of Clayton died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday with Deacon P. Louis Montoya as celebrant. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton with Father Joel Bugas as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Texline Cemetery in Texline, Texas. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Mrs. Herrera was born on a ranch near Roy to Severino Maynes and Fedilia Romero Maynes. She lived in Texline for 14 years and had been a resident of Clayton since 1976.

Survivors include three sons, Tony Herrera of Clayton, Chris Herrera of Texline and Orlando Herrera of Goodwell, Okla.; five daughters, Lucy Howell of Monroe, Ore., Mary Jane Ray of Dumas, Texas, Lena Muse of Sulphur, Okla., Gloria Evans of Hugoton, Kan., and Kristi Herrera of Amarillo, Texas; a stepdaughter, Eva Herrera of Albuquerque; three sisters-in-law, Esmeralda Maynes, Esperanza Maynes and Beatrice Maynes, all of Clayton; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Union County General Hospital, 300 Wilson St., Clayton, N.M. 88415.
