Stonington Man Found Dead
The body of Vincent Hinkley, who disappeared from his home in Stonington on the morning of August 11, was found Monday by James Nugent while gunning in the woods of Charles Phelps Williams, a New York Attorney.The body was found in a most difficult place of access and it was about two miles in a north-easterly direction from the Hinkley home.
Deputy Coroner George D. Stanton was notified and after viewing the remains he reached the verdict that the man wandered away during mental aberration and died from exhaustion. The remains were so badly decomposed that they were recognizable only by the clothes. Mr. Hinkley was 52 years of age and at the time of his disappearance a reward of $100 for the recovery of the remains if the man had met death, or if alive information about his whereabouts
