Melba Taylor, 72, of Sharon Elms Health Care Center died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at the center.

Born April 15, 1926, in Brandon, Mo., to Claude and Opal Carpenter Fletcher, she married Benjamin Taylor on March 5, 1951, in Pickett, Ark. He died April 1, 1983, in Peoria.

One sister also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Rick of Benton and Ron of Apple Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Connie Taylor of Peoria and Cathy Taylor of Galesburg; one stepdaughter, Fern Seely of Peoria; two brothers, Bill Fletcher of Benton, Mo., and Calvin Fletcher of Melber, Ky.; and two sisters, Juanita Lukehart of Melber and Peggy Wells of Morehouse, Mo.

Graveside services will be at Springdale Cemetery.
