Leon Abbott, 56, of Bellingham, died suddenly May 23rd at home. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia (Antalek) Abbott for 30 years.

Life:
Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Everett Abbott and Gloria (Stevens) Abbott. Leon grew up in Framingham and graduated from Framingham North High School in 1975.
Always an artist, Leon attended Bunker Hill Community College and studied graphic arts.
For 30 years Leon worked with his brother-in-law, John Brooke, managing Frank Brooke Associates in sales, installation and repairs of automotive lubrication systems and lifts. He was recently employed by Tool & Equipment Connection, Inc. in N. Attleboro.
Leon married Cindi in 1984 and moved to Bellingham in 1990 where they raised their three children.
Leon was an avid sailor and loved boating, having once sailed from Bermuda to Marblehead, MA. He purchased his Hobie Cat catamaran in 1980 and sailed every chance he could get.
In the winter months he loved to go skiing with his family. He also loved hockey, having played on a team as the goalie in his teenage years.
Leon had been a volunteer with Bellingham Cub Scouts Pack 100 for several years running the Pinewood Derby Race, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a man of many talents spending much of his free time with woodworking, photography, art, and automotive mechanical projects. Leon enjoyed his family most of all.

Family:
Besides his wife, Leon is survived by his three children, Daniel Abbott, Emily Abbott and James Abbott, all of Bellingham, and
his grandson Cameron Pilotte of Bellingham.
He also leaves behind his four sisters and their husbands, Diane Brooke and husband John of Centerville, Susan Broderick and husband David of Sacramento, CA, Robin Murphy and husband Paul of Wareham and Laura Brown and husband Richard of Framingham.
