JACKSON, SHAKITHA CHEATHAM, age 34, of Birmingham, AL died Wednesday, April 19, 2006. She was a senior at Miles College and a graduate of Lawson State and Jones Valley High School, class of 89. She was a member of Zion Travelers P.B. Church, a member of the senior choir, missionary society, a Sunday school teacher and youth advisor. She was also a member of the Pilgrim Rest Women Congress and faithfully attended the Tri State Convention. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Darrell Jackson; daughters, Shonquayle Jackson, and Camille Jackson; a son, Darrell Jackson, Jr., mother, Loretta Speights Cheatham, father, Theodore (Connie) Cheatham, Jr., one brother, Theodore (Yvonne) Cheatham, III, one sister, Theatrice (Michael) Cheatham Benson; grandmothers, Mary Gray Speights, Erma Cheatham and Hattie Jackson; a father and mother-in-law, Calvin and Etta Jackson; two other sisters, Daliscia Speights (Pernell) Williams and Julia Tolbert (Will) Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors Tuesday night 6 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2006, 12 Noon at Zion Travelers P. B. Church, 1872 Collier Drive, Midfield, AL with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Elder Elijah Weatherspoon, pastor, officiating. Davenport & Harris Funeral Home directing.
