Demetrios "Jimmy" Bakas was 39 years old when he passed away at Tufts NEMC, Boston following a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, he was the son of Elias and Evangelea ( Katsos ) Bakas.
Jimmy was raised in Lynn attending Lynn Public Schools. He graduated from Lynn Vocational High School and the IT Certificate Programs at both Boston University and American Career Institute. He worked as an Information Technology Technician at Au Bon Pan in Boston and previously at Corning in Marlborough.
Jimmy was a former local competitive boxer and played basketball for St. George Church in Lynn.
Jimmy is survived by brothers George and Harry and his son Justin Keith.
