Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2000, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the services will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born February 18, 1908, in Manitowoc, son of the late Michael and Constance Sitkiewitz Plotka. Charles was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. On July 17, 1943, he married the former Gertrude Zielinski, in Harrisburg, Pa. She preceded him in death on July 19, 1997. Charles worked at the Mirro Company for many years as a machinist. He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles #706, Otto Oas Post #99 and the Bowling Hall of Fame in Manitowoc.
Survivors include one niece, May Blahnik and her husband Carl, Manitowoc; two special friends, Robert Berrens and Ellen Rose Vogel; other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Frank Sheraski; two nephews, David and Chester Sheraski.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at 11 a.m.
