FINDS FATHER DEAD IN BED
Jacob Pokorski, 80, Dies Suddenly At His Home on South Side This Morning

Taken with a sudden heart attack this morning shortly after he arose, Jacob Pokorski, 80, was found dead in bed by his daughter, Mrs. Mary Derus, when she visited him in his room in the upper flat at 1611 Madison street where he resided. Mr. Pokorski had risen early but was taken ill and returned to his bed.

The deceased was born in Poland and came to Manitowoc fifty years ago. He was married here to Agnes Schott who passed away four years ago.

Four sons, Stanley of Two Rivers, Michael, Joe and John of this city and one daughter Mrs. Mary Derus of this city, a brother Matt of Newton and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Strzeski of Poland survive.

Burial Tuesday

Burial will be Tuesday morning from the home of the daughter 1310 South 16th street and at nine o'clock from the St. Mary's church with burial at Calvary cemetery. The remains will be removed to the residence of the daughter Sunday morning where they may be viewed.
