Geneva Dowell, 71, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2015 while at Norton Suburban Hospital.
Geneva was born on May 1, 1943 in Breckenridge County to the late Chester and Margaret Isabel Courtney Dowell. She retired from the Accounting Department at Norton Audubon Hospital after 22 years and the JCPS Board after 9 years. Geneva spent a lot of her time working with special needs children and was a long time member of Parkland Baptist Church.
Along with her parents; her son, Donny Ray Bradley; brothers, James and Donald Dowell; and sister, Katherine Wilson; and nephew, Kenney Dowell have preceded her in death.
Left to carry on her beautiful memory are her husband, Jackie L. Bradley Sr.; son, Jack Bradley Jr.; daughter, Nanette Bradley-Pryor (David); grandchildren, Julie Willis (David), and Stephanie Schilling (Steve); 4 great grandchildren; nieces, Debbie (Joseph C.), Renee, Wendy, Sheila, Bonnie and Sue; nephews, Randy, Tommy, Dee, Darrell, Barry, Timmy, Keith, and David; sister in-laws, Pauline and Edna Dowell; and her dear friends, Cathy Burgess, Donna Crowder, Willy Harned and Yvonne Wilson.
A service to celebrate Geneva’s life will be 10 am Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Ratterman and sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Hardinsburg, KY.
