Mrs. Leslie was a very active member, until her illness, of Divine Street United Methodist Church and was also very involved in Leslie United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener and loved playing bridge with her Bridge Club.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Divine Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Beth Gaines and Rev. Donald Seely officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at Divine Street Church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Marie Leslie Cameron and husband Doug of Clayton, NC, a daughter-in-law, Shirley Blackwell Leslie of Monroeville, PA, six grandchildren, Scott Douglas Cameron, Leslie Marie Cameron both of Garner, NC, Meredith Leslie Malisher of Wilmington, NC, Lt. Colonel Jonathan Leslie of Washington, DC, Matthew Leslie of Atlanta, GA, and Sarah Leslie of Monroeville, PA, seven great grandchildren, Miranda, Mackenzie, Rhianna, Sabella, Jessie, Carlie, and Candace Malisher, her special “adopted” children, Kathy and Ed Matthews of Dunn, NC, and nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Divine Street United Methodist Church, 400 W. Divine Street, Dunn, NC 28334 or to Leslie United Methodist Church, 277 Stewart Road, Dunn, NC 28334.
Arrangements are being handled by Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
