Rizzo was our first rescue dog. She was dumped and found wandering around the local Army post. My daughter and I went to the Army animal shelter looking for a new friend. I passed her right by and my daughter said that we just had to take her out of the kennel and see what she was like. Once she was out and we got to play with her it was all over! We signed the papers that afternoon about 2 hours before they were going to put her down. Lucky us!!

She was one of the best dogs we've ever had. Half pitbull, half rottie. Nearly 95 pounds of pure love! Her favorite toy was an old red bowling ball we bought at a garage sale. She slobbered all over it for years! Tried so hard to pick it up in her mouth, which she did a handful of times! She would roll that ball all over the yard barking at it.

A couple of months after we brought her home we found Nicki. Drove all the way to the other side of the state to adopt him. Our second rescue dog. His story is here on F.A.G. also.

They both passed from cancer. And are tearing apart Heaven chasing squirrels together!
