Hazleton Standard Speaker, Friday, March 6, 1970:
Frank H. Bonin, 79, of 542 N. Wyoming St., well known funeral director, died at 11:45 a.m. yesterday at St. Joseph Hospital, following an illness of several months. Born in Hazleton, he was a son of the late Hilary and Christine (Koutz) Bonin. He resided in this city his entire life. He attended local parochial and public schools, and was associated in business with his late father. Following the death of his father, he continued the operation of the funeral home. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Transfiguration Church and St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church. He also held memberships in the National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, Luzerne County Funeral Directors Association, the Kosciuszko Club, and was an honorary member of the Harwood Fire Company.

Two brothers, Anthony and Hilary, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, the former Martha Dropeski, and the following children: Mrs. Irene Bonin Wenrich, Camp Hill; Mildred, Washington, D.C.; Frank J., at home, Mrs. Daniel (Isabel) Palermo, Conyngham, Hilary J., this city, Mrs. Joseph (Eleanor) Kolessar, Tyrone, N.M., Mrs. Bernard (Rita) Choma, this city and M. Gloria, at home. Also surviving are six grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Oleck, Mahanoy City, Mrs. Margaret Kotch, Frackville, Mrs. Julia Wallace, John, H., Peter, Leo J. and Edward J., all of this city, and Mrs. Joseph (Ernestine) Albrecht, Pontiac, Mich. There are several nieces and and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Bonin Funeral Home, Second Street entrance, with a solemn requiem high mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. The Very Rev. Joseph Jackanich, Rev. John Koval and Rev. Stephen Luzetsky will conduct a prayer services at 6 o'clock this evening. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 o'clock this evening.
