Dennis (Denny) E. Kirby, age 69 of Foy By-Pass, Duhring, West Virginia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

Born October 23, 1945 in Goodwill, WV, he was the son of the late Walter L. Kirby and Gladys Dillon Kirby. He was also preceded in death by his brother Larry Kirby.

His daughter Makaela was his life and he was a proud father. He was a member of Deliverance Temple Church. Denny served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He also, was retired from West Virginia Armature Company in Bluefield.

His family and friends knew him as an avid West Virginia Mountaineer Fan. Anyone that was acquainted with him knew he would always stand for the Mountaineers.

Survivors include: his wife Terri of 22 years and daughter Makaela of the home. Stepson Joey Bratton of Flattop, WV and stepdaughter Karrie Bratton of Lewisburg, WV.

Brothers: Ken Kirby and wife Betty, Tom Kirby and wife Marie, David Kirby and wife Margaret all of Bluewell. Randall Kirby and wife Sharon of Littlesburg, and Fred Kirby and wife Brenda of Duhring. Sisters: Donna (Sis) Lusk and husband Dave of Littlesburg and Connie Poore of Brushfork, WV.
Grandchildren: Kiersten Mabe, Megan Bratton, and Kayleigh Hunting.

Special Nephews: Mark and Hunter Mabe, Brandon Kirby, Shawn Lusk, and Allen Kirby.
Special Nieces: Kendra Murphy and Tammy Stump.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 1:00pm at Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork with Pastor David Kirby and Reverend Dave Lusk officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV with Military Graveside rites performed by the WV Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be: Brother-n-law Robbie Mabe, nephews Mark and Hunter Mabe, Herman Linkous, Billy Stump, Larry Gilmore, Joe Michelson and Nelson Saddler. Honorary Pallbearers: Charlie Mabe and Brandon Kirby.

Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Deliverance Temple Church 1998 Coal Heritage Road, Bluefield WV in honor of the New Youth Center.
