DUHRING - J. Larry Kirby, 60, of Duhring, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at his residence.
Born on Sept. 16, 1944 in Coaldale, he was a son of Gladys Dillon Kirby of Duhring and the late Walter L. Kirby. He was of the Protestant faith. He attended Bramwell High School and was previously employed by U.S. Steel, Eastern Associated Coal in Keystone and John's Mobile Home Supply.
In addition to his mother, survivors include: Daughters: Chrystie Kirby Owens of North Carolina and Anna Kirby Hall of Florida; grandsons: Cody Owens, Shawn Hall, and Brandon Hall; granddaughter: Leslie Hall; brothers: Ken Kirby and wife Betty of Bluewell, Tom Kirby and wife Marie of Bluewell, David Kirby and wife Margaret of Bluewell, Randall Kirby and wife Sharon of Littlesburg, Freddie Kirby and wife Brenda of Duhring, Dennis Kirby and wife Terri of Duhring; sisters: Connie Poore of Montcalm, Donna Kirby Lusk and husband Dave of Littlesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12, 2005 at the Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork at 1998 Coal Heritage Road, with Pastor David Kirby, Dave Lusk, and Brian Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
Pallbearers will be Allen Kirby, Shawn Lusk, Matthew Lusk, Toby Poore, Russell Walker, Kenneth Spivey, Rod Nelson, Paul Whitteker, and Conley Goins.
Friends may call today from 6-9 p.m. at the Deliverance Temple Church, 1998 Coal Heritage Road in Brushfork.
