Levi Blossom, early Milwaukee lawyer, came here in 1836 from Sullivan County, New York. He was active in all city matters; was one of the original supporters for the railroad; became president of the Milwaukee & Janesville Plank Road Company; banker. One of the original fifty-five subscibers to Forest Home Cemetery, which enabled the Vestry of St. Paul's Episcopal Church to purchase the land from the heirs of the Rev. Hull. Levi died at San Francisco on Oct. 31, 1873 at the Grand Hotel.
