Jack was the son of Joseph Giuseppe Brescia and May Robinson Brescia.

The 1940 census revealed Jack was a Tailor in a dry cleaners. He was divorced and had completed the second year of high school. He lived with his widowed mother, they rented their home on 12 Avenue, Columbus, Muscogee Co, Georgia for $18.00 a month. Household members: May Bresina (52), Jack Bresina (25), Billy Bresina (23), Marguarette Bresina (20) and Marbella Bresina (20).

On July 7, 1956 their week old daughter, Mary Nell Brescia died. She was originally buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, in Plot: Sec: 33, Site: 364 LL. She was later moved to Fort Benning Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, Georgia.

Jack M. Brescia, 62, of 3215 17th Ave., Columbus, died Monday at Martin Army Hospital.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel, with burial in the Post cemetery.

Mr. Brescia was born in Columbus on Dec 14, 1914, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brescia.

He had lived in Columbus most of his life and was an employee of Philip Batastini Tailors & Cleaners.

Survivers include his wife, Virginia, a daughter, Mrs. Bobby L. Johnson of Germany; three sons, Joseph M. Brescia, Lackland Air force Base, Tex., John R. and Paul D. Brescia, both of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Marguriete Pelot, Atlanta; a brother, Billy Brescia, Columbus; three half brothers, Joseph B. Batastini, Philip Batastini and Theodore Brescia, all of Columbus; two half sisters, Mrs. Marie Bryant and Mrs. Angelia Holmes, both of Columbus; and four grandchildren.

Jack live to the age of 62.
