She later married Henry S. Taylor on July 19, 1925 at the Lakewood Baptist Church by the Rev. Marshall Sewell. Together they had two sons, Sherman B. & Alyea H. Taylor.
In 1930 they lived on Freeman Rd. in Lakewood. They moved to Whitesville before buying a historic home, that was built in c. 1830, in the early 1940s in Brick, New Jersey. Sadly the home was vandalized and destroyed in the early 1990s when it was vacated.
Gladys always had a way with animals. She trained her first pet at the age of 5 and later would often enter obedience competitions. She won Most Popular Pet in 1932 for her pet fox Wildwood Spotlight. She would continue to train and breed dogs for most of her life. She even wrote a book, "Fido: A Complete Dog Obedience Book from Desire to Finish" at the age of 91.
Gladys Peters Taylor died 2 days after her one hundredth birthday on Feb 16, 1995. She would out live her husband by more then 30 years.
