Emogene Gooslin Meadows, 81, of Planet Drive Ext. (Elmore Addition) Princeton died Wednesday November 16, 2011 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 7, 1930, in Pikeville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Edward Gooslin and Mary Polly Chapman Meadows. Mrs. Meadows was a retired seamstress with the Maindenform Corporation in Princeton for more than 25 years. She loved her family, spending time riding around with her son David, going to Blue Grass festivals and singing at the Little Opry and the Music Barn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Mason Meadows, a son, Herman M. "Buddy" Meadows Jr., a grandson, Joshua Lee Shutt and her four brothers and sisters; Gracie, Ethel, Delmon and George. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Linda Shutt and husband Ed, Charles D. Meadows, David M. Meadows all of Princeton; Grandchildren, Jamie Meadows, Brandi Meadows, Kimberlee Stephenson and Husband Justin, Charlie Meadows Jr., Steven Meadows and wife Laura, and Valerie Lester and husband Rick; Several great grandchildren; One sister, Mary Jane Hype Lambert; And her faithful dog, Cutie. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2011 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends are invited to visit with the family Friday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
