(Obituary, Evangelical Messenger, Oct. 3, 1861. p. 160)
William's father, Johann Adam Grauer (a.k.a. Adam J. Grauer) was originally interred in Witmer Cemetery, and his dates are inscribed on the same monument pictured herein. However, in 1930, after the death of Adam's second wife, Emily Kline Grauer, Adam was re-interred with Emily at Riverdale Cemetery in Lewiston. As Riverdale has no record for re-interment of William, it is presumed that he is still interred here at Witmer.
