Masha Fishman of Edison, New Jersey is the daughter of Russian immigrants. She was a 2005 graduate of St. Helena's School in Edison and a member of the Drama Club and the Cooking Club. Masha was a lunch monitor and a volunteer at After Care, where she watched children after school. She also sculpted animals for the school art show. She was named most opinionated in her class. She was also known as a pretty girl who received plenty of attention from boys with crushes on her. She planned to attend Bishop Ahr High School, Edison, in the fall. In 10 years, she pictured herself with her own apartment, studying to be a lawyer, according to the yearbook. Masha was born in Long Island, and had lived in Brooklyn before moving to Edison where she had lived for tweleve years. She was always so friendly to others and she would be the first to talk to all of the new kids. Masha died at age 14 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident in the Catskills in upstate New York.
