Mrs. Agnes McMahon, 88, of 190 Hamilton St., widow of Martin McMahon, died suddenly Saturday morning at the Meriden Hospital. Born in Galway, Ireland, Mrs. McMahon had lived in Meriden for 79 years. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Meriden Council of Catholic Women. She is survived by three sons, Daniel McMahon, of Hartford, Joseph and George McMahon, of Meriden; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Reiski, Mrs. Rose Lange, Mrs. Florence Stocking, Mrs. Bertha Marcantonio, all of this city, Mrs. Norine Claffey, of Hartford, and Mrs. Loretta Padon, of Norfolk, Va.; 31 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nora Maloney, of West Hartford; and a brother, Martin Hall, of Pittsfield, Mass. She was also the mother of the late Father John Chrysestom, O.F.M. The funeral will be held today at 9:45 a.m. from the Smith Funeral Home, 226 West Main St. and at 10:30 at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Agnes McMahon, of 190 Hamilton St., was held today at 9:45 a.m., from the Smith Funeral Home and at 10:30 at St. Joseph's Church. The Rev. Charles Mullin officiated at the solemn high requiem mass, assisted by the Rev. John McDonald and the Rev. Cornelius Doherty. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery, where the Rev. Doherty officiated. Pallbearers, all grandsons of Mrs. McMahon, were Gary Stocking, Allan Stocking, Roy Padon, Martin McMahon, Paul Lange Jr. and Thomas Claffey.
