Ruth Alexander, 81, of East Brunswick, passed away at Raritan Bay Medical Center; was a descendent of the Warnsdorfer family, one of the founding families in East Brunswick; graduated from South River High School; New Jersey College for Women (Douglass College) 1946; began her teaching career in Oswego, N.Y., then South River High School and retired from St. Mary's School, South River, 1988. Survived by husband Anthony Alexander; sons Anthony (Barbara) Alexander Jr.; Robert Alexander and his fiance Rose DiCara; David (Lynn) Alexander; daughters Mary Beth Wieciek and Barbara (Zigmond) Biernacki; and brother Frank Warnsdorfer; sister Kathleen Stout; 9 grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Frank Warnsdorfer, first Chief of Police in East Brunswick, and Mae Heil Warnsdorfer; sister Esther Irven; granddaughter Kelly Ann Alexander and son-in-law Jerry Wieciek. Mass St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Arrangements Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
