Martin was the son of Martin Dusik (1826 – 1891) and Maria Sikora (1823 – 1873). Martin and Susanna had the following children Mariya 1887 – 1887, Zuzana (Mrs. Michael Boratko) 1888 – 1950, Jan 1894 – 1894, Mariya (Mrs. Michael Hudak) 1896 – 1937, Paul/Pavol Dusik 1899 – 1968.
Susanna died August 19, 1903, at age 42. At the time of her death, there were three living children, Pavol 4, Mariya 7, and Suzanna 15. The first Mariya and Jan died as infants.
