J. G. VAUGHN DIES IN GIRARD - Well Known Citizen Breathed His Last At About 10 O'Clock This Morning - Funeral Thursday. -- After an illness of about three weeks, Mr. J. G. Vaughn died at his home, 752 Sandfort road, Girard at 9:50 o'clock this morning at the age of 65 years. Mr. Vaughn was a member of the Methodist church and a man who was admired and esteemed by all who knew him. He leaves besides his wife five children, one brother and two sisters. His children are Mrs. J. E. Wynn and Miss Annie Vaughn of Columbus; Mr. Walter Vaughn of Girard; Mrs. W. A. Skinner of Macon, and Mrs. Wm. Albright of Mulberry, Fla. His brother is Mr. Joe Vaughn of Texas and his sisters reside in that state. The funeral will take place from his home at ten o'clock Thursday morning, the services to be conducted by Rev. Mr. Urquhart and the remains will be interred in Girard cemetery.
