Columbus [Georgia] Daily Enquirer, issue of Friday, 13 Oct 1899, Page 7: ONE DAY’S NEWS ACROSS THE RIVER…. The many friends of Mr. J. H. Vaughn will sympathize with him in the loss of his little seven-day-old son, whose death occurred at the home of Mrs. C. J. Robinett, No. 808 Sandford street, in Girard, at 7:30 o’clock yesterday morning. The death of the little child is peculiarly sad on account of the death of its mother, who was laid to rest last Sunday. The funeral and interment took place at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon, the remains being interred by the side of its mother.
