Adell H. Arnold, 95, formerly of Collinsville, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Columbus Hospice Midtown Medical Center West, Columbus, Ga.

Born July 18, 1919, in Callands, Va., to the late William Bill Holley and Clara Garrett Holley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three sisters, Sally Austin, Ocea Lawrence and Jennie Lawrence; and one brother, James Holley.
She was a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church and the Silver Stone Seniors Sunday School. She retired from E.I. DuPont with more than 38 years of services.
Adell enjoyed traveling and once served as the tour director for many years. She enjoyed visiting nursing homes and giving help to those in need. She especially loved her two cats, Fuller and Patience.
She is survived by her daughter, Millie B. Lark and husband Dr. Jake Lark of Columbus, Ga; one grandson, Chris Merriman and wife Tammy Merriman of Reidsville, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Danielle M. Peoples and husband Chris Peoples of Winston-Salem, N.C., Brad C. Merriman of Denton, Texas; and a great-great-grandson, Parker C. Merriman
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel. Lawrence Harris and Tim Wood will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. just prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, Ga. 31909.
