FORMER AKRON MAYOR IS DEAD
ASHLAND, Aug. 12 -- Funeral services were to be held here today for Daniel C. Rybolt, 67, three time mayor of Akron, who died at his home here Tuesday night from a cerebral hemorrhage.
He served as Akron's mayor in 1921-22 and was chosen mayor-manager there in 1923 and 1925. He later was state purchasing agent in the administration of Gov. Myers Y. Cooper.
After being graduated from Ohio Wesleyan university, he taught two years in Crestline, going from there to Galion, where he taught for three years. He served as principal of Akron Central high school 17 years before becoming mayor.
Coming here in 1926, he served as vice-president of the Rybolt Heater Co.
