Rita was born on May 15 1908 to Sophie (née Gallant) and Benôit Gaudet in their residence at Saint-Gilbert, P.E.I. In 1929 she married Antoine Arsenault and had five children. Rita resided most of her life in Saint-Gilbert. She was a member of L'Église Catholique Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques at Baie-Egmont and the C.W.L.
