CORTLAND Aug. 16 – Funeral services for Mrs. Abbie Hartnett, 87 years old, who died yesterday morning, Aug. 15, 1928 at her home in Fabius, following a short illness from heart trouble, will be held Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at the home and at 9:30 at the Church of Immaculate Conception of Pompey. Burial will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery (actually she was interred in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cortland).
Mrs. Hartnett, who was a native of Ireland and came to America while a young girl, was the widow of Thomas Hartnett, whose death occurred in 1922. She had spent most of her life in Fabius, and was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church of that village.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nora Kiley, and Misses Ella and Agnes Hartnett, all of Fabius; two sons, Thomas M. and Timothy C. Hartnett of Fabius, and a brother, Dennis O’Connor of Syracuse.
