June lived in Oregon 61 years. She worked at Martin Box Lumber in Oakland, OR, Nordic Plywood in Sutherlin, OR, and US Plywood in Roseburg, OR, for a time in her life.
She enjoyed cooking, making quilts and going to yard sales. She also loved camping, hunting, fishing, card games, and watching professional bull riding on TV with family and friends.
June passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015, at Chantele's Loving Touch Memory Care in Sutherlin, OR.
June was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate, Ralph Gurney; brothers Alvin (Buck) Courts, Bradley (Buddy) Courts and Pete Courts; and a sister Lillian Westmoreland.
She is survived by sisters Julia Anderson of Arkansas, Blanch Lowe and Vivian Stanley of Texas.
June had six children; one son Don Parsons of Arizona; and five daughters and their spouses, Carol Ann and Jerry Davis of Nevada, Eunice and Norman Wells, Nellie McKinney of Sutherlin, Oregon, Debra and Bob Huckins, Barbara and Steve Smith of Oakland, Oregon; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many more family and friends.
