Loretta M. Basiliere, 89, of 215 Elm St., formerly of Pearl Street, died Monday at the Alice Hyde Nursing Home.
Mrs. Basiliere was a homemaker who enjoyed walking and reading. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church.
Born Nov. 17, 1907, a daughter of Charles and Nettie Plant Dumas, she attended school in Chateaugay. She married Noel J. Basiliere on Oct. 4, 1927, at Utica. He died Feb. 10, 1985.
Surviving are three sons, Gary, Malone, Paul, San Diego, Calif., and Philip, Hummelstown, Pa.; a daughter, Lois, Wilmington, N.C.; two brothers, Vernon Dumas, Alice Hyde Nursing Home, and Marvin Dumas, Baldwinsville; four sisters, Juanita Derouchie, Pulaski, Winona Hartman, Syracuse, Evelyn Brown, Malone, and Faye Witherell, Vero Beach, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A son, Noel Jr., a brother, Leonard Dumas, and a sister, Avis Reome, died before her.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
