Arkie Heflin, 95, of Atkins, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015, at Brookridge Care Nursing Center in Morrilton. She was born July 30, 1919, in Pope County, Arkansas, daughter of the late Richard Lee and Gritie Ketchum McGee. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Lester McGee, Carrol McGee, Travis McGee, and an infant brother; and 3 sisters, Lucille Chapman, Iva Gillette, and Dessie Coffman.

She is survived by her husband, Aubron Heflin; children, Shirley and husband Dan Shuffield, Johnny Heflin and wife Sandy, James Heflin and wife Tammy; brother, Earl McGee; grandchildren, Colt Shuffield, Tracy Wages, Tammy and husband Brian Sweeden, Shelly Williams, Angie Forrest, April and husband Tommy Agner, Chance Heflin, Chrystal and husband Luke Calhoun; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 17, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Jackie Townsell officiating. Burial is in St. Joe Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday.

Pallbearers will be great-nephews.
