Jeanette Pettis Byrd of Southport, Florida passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015.
Mrs. Byrd retired from Panama City Beach Wal-Mart after 24 years of service. Jeanette was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her loving husband Ted Byrd; parents Howard and Lua Pettis; sisters Verdie Mae Heath and Myrl Pettis.
She is survived by her children Ricky Stiles (Sonia) of Trussville, AL., Sylvia Simpson of Southport, FL., Sam Stiles (Daneen) of Tampa, FL.; step daughter Carol Ann Neff (John) of St. Cloud, FL.; sisters and brothers Athalone Donaldson, Shelton Pettis (Skipper), Sharon Small (Grady), Earl Pettis (Margaret), Guy Pettis (Sandy), and Joan Pettis; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Jackson, Pastor Joe Sellers, and Pastor Nixon Miller officiating. Family will receive friends 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Kent - Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Keith McGlamry, Jeff Pettis, Michael Pettis, Jamie Pettis, Scott Donaldson, Christopher Small, Elmore Little, Danny Little, and Allen Adams.
Honorary pallbearers are Walter H. Ellis, Charles Sapp, Chuck Long, Eugene Peel, Lynn Ellis and Johnny Hutto.
