SARTAIN, Bobby of Mesquite, born September 10, 1932 in Tishomingo County, MS, passed away August 25, 2005.
He served 18 years in the Army and was a Viet Nam veteran receiving the Bronze Star for meritorious service against hostile forces. Other military decorations include NDSM (1st olc), GCMDL (5th award), AOM, VSM, VCM, ARCOM and W/OLC. He attended Draughan's Business Dollege in Memphis, TN. He was an avid golpher and pool player.
Preceded in death by father, James W. Sartain; mother, Carrie Hill; sister, Rahmell Davidson.
Survived by wife, Edith Sartain; son, Jimmy Lee; daughter, Melinda Ann; 6 grandchildren: Sabrina, Brittney, Blake, Preston, Hannah and Sarah; brothers, James H. Sartain of Bartlett, TN. & T. A. Sartain of Belmont, MS.; sister, Myra Ann Howe of Cordova, TN.
Service will be 10:30AM Monday August 29, 2005 at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00PM - 7:00PM
Interment will be at 1:00PM Monday at the DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
