Anne Buckmaster was a civilian casualty of WW2

Anne was born in 1868 in Holborn London and would stay a resident of that area all her life. She married Henry James Buckmaster in the summer of 1888 and a couple of years later their son Herbert James Luke was born. According to his son's WW1 service record, the family lived at Pancras Square and by 1916 it consisted of Harry and Ann and married daughters Nellie and Ethel along with sons Charles and Harry James Luke.

Harry James Luke was discharged from the army where he served as a Rifleman in the London Regiment in WW1 as a result of wounds received at Loos and suffered a post discharge death on the 4th February 1919. He had a military burial in St.Pancras cemetery,Plot X2 Grave 8 on 10th February 1919

Anne was killed as a result of enemy action over her home in Pancras Square on the 17th April 1941 and was buried at St.Pancras cemetery on the 1st May 1941 in a public grave Y6 / 43

Anne's husband Harry died a few months later 20th November 1941 at Hitchin Hertfordshire
