Jerome J. Lovenburg was born in 1872 in Tabor, Republic county, and died at the home of his nephew, Lawrence Lovenburg, in Madrid, Neb., on December 25, 1937, at the age of 65 years, three months and 11 days.

He lived with his parents in Tabor until 1884, when they moved to Thayer county, Neb., where he lived until 1892, at which time he moved to Perry, Noble county, Okla. There he homesteaded for eight years, then returned to Kansas. From Kansas he came to Perkins county in 1911, purchased a farm and lived on this until October 22, 1935, when he went to live with his nephew, Lawrence Lovenburg, until the time of his passing.

He is survived by five brothers, W. O. and Frank Lovenburg of Madrid, Dennek Lovenburg of Republican City, Neb., and Charlie and Bert Lovenburg of Narka. His father, mother, one brother, Ed, and four sisters preceded him in death.

In the absence of the Rev. D. J. Park, pastor of the Madrid M. E. church, the Rev. Arthur Swanson of Grant conducted the funeral services at the Madrid church and burial was made in the Madrid cemetery.
