Phyllis graduated from Groton High School. She loved gardening and collecting blue glass. Phyllis was an excellent cook and her family always enjoyed her homemade rolls.
Phyllis married Ralph Carpenter on March 31, 1955 and he predeceased her on December 26, 2014. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Guy Williams, Merle Williams, and Kenneth Williams.
Survivors include her five children, Maureen Mosher and husband Steve of Barnet, VT, Shelley Williams of Monroe, NH, Rhonda Lakin and husband Fred of South Ryegate, VT, Kim Longmoore and husband David of Newbury, VT, and Shawn Carpenter of Monroe, NH; a brother, Fred Dana and wife Madeline of Groton; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held for Phyllis and Ralph on Saturday, June 6, at 11 AM in the Groton Village Cemetery. Ricker Funeral Home, Woodsville, NH is in charge of arrangements.
