Sherman was born in Harmony, OK to Lewis and Maria Victoria (Burgess) Armstrong. He worked as a machinist. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. He married June Tilton . She preceded him in death in October of 2004. Then Sherman married Delloise Schorsch on September 3, 20085 in Collinsville, OK. He loved gardening. He was a member of Mason American Legion and Eastern Star which he had been a member for 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, June; sisters, Hildred Marlow and Janie Smith; brothers, Fred, Edmond "Buck", William and Aaron Armstrong; and granddaughters, Linda Kay Hall and Karen Dee Robinson. Services will be held Feb. 25, 2015 at Brown's Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Green Meadows Cemetery.
