Among them: Louisville Legal Society, National Housewives League, the Independent Voters Association, the Community Baptist Church, Louisville Women's Bar, American Bar Association, the National Urban League, Iota Phi Lambda, Zeta Phi Beta, the YWCA, and was a member of the Phillips Chapel C.M.E. Church.
Ms. Jones was murdered in the early morning hours of August 5, 1965, and the case is still unsolved.
