Ralph Buerkley, age 75, of Pleasant Ridge, in Maysville, Kentucky, died Saturday, February 14, 2015, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe, in Maysville. He was born in Bracken County, Kentucky, on June 10, 1939, the son of the late Raymond Clarence and Pearl Emma Cox Buerkley. He was a farmer, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Jaycees and a member and Deacon of Pleasant Ridge Community Church.
Ralph was predeceased by: his son, Ralph A. Buerkley, Jr.; two brothers, Charlie Buerkley and Raymond Buerkley, Jr.; and three sisters, Ruth Holton, Mary Lou Brown and Shirley Wolfe. He is survived by: his wife, Emma Jean Franklin Buerkley, whom he married on October 12, 1962; a son, David (Tammy) Buerkley, of Maysville; two grandchildren, Rodney David Buerkley and Alyssa Nichole Buerkley, both of Maysville; and a brother, Ronnie (Pat) Buerkley, of Maysville.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, in Brooksville, Kentucky. Burial will be at Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Pleasant Ridge Community Church.
