Thelma A. Cayemberg, age 79, of 2468 S. 18th Street, Manitowoc resident, died Monday morning, November 3, 2014 at St. Mary’s Home, Manitowoc.

She was born on December 18, 1934 in Valders, daughter of the late Ted & Alice (Sorenson) Skattebo. Thelma was a graduate of Valders High School, Class of 1953. On November 7, 1953 she married Allen A. Cayemberg and they were the first couple married at the newly constructed St.
Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2012. Thelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, playing cards and camping. Thelma and Allen enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States with family and friends. They especially enjoyed their trips to Las Vegas and Oneida. She also played cards with the same group of friends for almost 50 years. Thelma was an avid Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan.

Survivors include three daughters: Cathy Haack & her special friend Cubby (Randy) Kolbeck, Manitowoc, Carol Cayemberg, Manitowoc, Ann Cayemberg, Knoxville, TN; a son: Douglas Cayemberg, Manitowoc; a son-in-law: Mark Steeber, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Susan Dorsett, Brian (Selena) Pitsch, Ryan Haack, Jeremy Boyd, Ashley Boyd; five great grandchildren: Jaylen & Jett Dorsett, Logan & Elizabeth Pitsch, Seth Boyd; a sister: May Mahloch, Milwaukee; and two brothers: Oley Skattebo, Arizona and Earl Skattebo, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Amy Cayemberg; a sister: Liela Craney; two sisters-in-law: Doris Skattebo and Louise Skattebo; and a brother-in-law: Jim Mahloch.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 until 10:45 a.m.
