Mrs. J. E. Hamacheck, 84, former Sheboygan resident and mother of William
Hamacheck of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday at Pasadena, Calif. Since the
death of her husband Julius E. Hamacheck, Sr., in 1933 she had been making
her home with a daughter, Lillian, in California. Mrs. Hamacheck, nee
Elizabeth Chermak, was born in 1866 in Prague, Bohemia, and came to this
country with her parents at an early age and resided in Tisch Mills. She
was married to Julius Hamacheck, Sr., and they located in Manitowoc and
later in Sheboygan. Mr. Hamacheck died 17 years ago.
Survivors are three sons, Jule of Manitowoc, Daniel of Minneapolis and
William of Sheboygan; two daughters, Mrs. Everett Sebring and Miss Lillian of
Pasadena, Calif.; three brothers, Joseph Chermak of Manitowoc, and Albert and
Louis of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Christ Sorensen of Racine and Mrs. Charles
Fenstermaker of Plainfield, N. J.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m, Monday at the Ballhorn Funeral
chapels. The Rev. Wilford H. Evans will officiate and burial will be made in
Wildwood cemetery.
The body may be viewed from 3 p. m on Sunday until the hour of service
at the funeral chapel.
