Carolina Gunsch was born to Fredrick and Magdalena (Doerr) Gunsch(1877-1908) near Gackle, North Dakota. Her mother died August 31, 1908. Her father, Fredrick remarried in 1909, a widow Christina Frey Graf with 2 daughters. Together they raised their 6 daughters. They were joined with 10 more brothers and sisters. Carolina married Jacob K Aman(1900-1982) in July 1921. She was 16. They had 4 children..Ida(1923), Esther(1924), Marvin(1926) and Irene(1928). Carolina died just 10 days after baby Irene was born. The church records for Bethany #2 Cemetery reads as follows: 9. Karoline Aman nee Gunst, born 13 Sept 1904 Died 10 June 1928 at 1/2 hour before 11:00 in the evening at age 23 yrs, 8 months and 28 days. Buried on 13 June 1928 cause of death, pneumonia and childbirth, (soon after childbirth). She was survived by her parents, 6 brothers and 8 sisters, husband Jacob K Aman Jr and her children Ida, Esther, Marvin and Irene.
