MRS. IOLA FAY AFFLECK
Mrs. Iola Fay Affleck, 55, wife of J. E. Affleck, died at her home, 1409 Church street, Phenix City, Sunday at 7:45 a.m. She
had been sick for three months.
Mrs. Affleck who had lived in Phenix City all her life, was born there Jan. 9, 1895, a daughter of the late Will and Maggie Reema Collins. She was a member of the Epworth Methodist church.
Surviving are her husband, four sons, William Frank and James R. Affleck, Columbus; Arthur Fred Affleck, Fort Benning, and George H. Affleck, Columbus; three daughters, Mrs. J. B. Rudd, Phenix City, and Mrs. Ann Holt and Mrs R. L. Schimmel, Columbus; four sisters, Mrs. Jettie Cederhold and Mrs. Albert Wade, Phenix City, Mrs. Geneva West, Wetumpka, Ala., and Mrs. Tilbert Merrith, Pera, Ala., 11 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Epworth church on Seale, Phenix City. The Rev. R. K. Jones, pastor, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Girard cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Affleck, Fred Affleck, Rayford Affleck, George Affleck, Joe Rudd and Hoy Thompson, Sons and sons-in-law of Mrs. Affleck.
